Ranking the Eagles 2024 NFL draft needs, top available prospects heading into Day 2

The Eagles get an A for night one of the draft, taking the top cornerback on the board while maintaining seven more picks for Days 2 and 3.

Quinyon Mitchell was a premium pick in the secondary.

However, Howie Roseman still has several pressing needs, including offensive line, linebacker, safety, and a third wide receiver behind A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith.

The second night of the draft will begin at 7 p.m., and we’re breaking down their most significant needs, remaining picks, and top prospects available.

Where do the Eagles pick on Day 2?

Philadelphia has no third-round pick but will pick at No. 50 and No. 53 in the second round on Friday.

Eagles biggest needs

After selecting Quinyon Mitchell in the first round, Philadelphia still needs a linebacker, edge rusher, and wide receiver.

Offensive lineman

Tyler Steen looks to be the starter at right guard, but Philadelphia could still look to upgrade at that position or land Lane Johnson’s eventual replacement.

Edge rusher

Haason Reddick was traded, and Bryce Huff was signed in free agency. Brandon Graham will play his final season in 2024, while Josh Sweat is a pending free agent. Nolan Smith, Zack Baun, and Oren Burks also offer pass-rush prowess.

Linebacker

Philadelphia has several names for the position, but only Nakobe Dean and Devin White offer three-down potential. With White on a one-year deal, the Eagles could look to add an athletic and downhill inside linebacker.

Wide receiver

Even after signing A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith to extensions, the Eagles could still look for fresh legs at the wide receiver spot after signing Parris Campbell and DeVonta Parker.

Junior Colson, LB, Michigan

Colson had 101 total tackles in 2022 and finished last year with 95.

Cooper Beebe, OL, Kansas State

Beebe has starting experience at right tackle and both guard spots over three years for the Wildcats.

Roger Rosengarten, OL, Washington

Rosengarten had a top 30 visit with the Eagles and has experience at both tackle spots.

Roman Wilson, WR, Michigan

At 5-11, 185 pounds Wilson projects primarily as a slot in the NFL and could be a player that flourishes in single coverage.
